Professor Champlin works
on Roman social and literary history of the late Republic and early
Empire, and on Roman law. His books include Fronto and Antonine
Rome
; Final Judgments: Duty and Emotion in Roman Wills;
and Nero. He is currently interested in the uses of myth
in Roman public and private life.
