Dr. John RichDepartment of Classics - University of Nottingham: "Dr. John Rich is Reader in Classics at the University of Nottingham. His general research interests are Roman history, particularly the republican and early imperial periods. His special areas are Roman warfare and international relations, the reign of Augustus, and Roman historiography, which he is pursuing as a member of both national (the Fragmentary Roman Historians project) and international (the Impact of the Roman Empire Network) research groups.
